VIRTUAL SUMMER PROGRAM

Summary:

Day 1: Science

We will be kicking off our week with our mad science activity day. We will be doing a demo on how to make oobleck and going into more depth about how and why it works. By incorporating very basic aspects of chemistry and physics we hope to give participants an insight into their future science classes.

Day 2: tECHNOLOGY

On Day 2, we will be covering the very important skill of coding. We will be giving students a chance to access coding practice sites, and answer any questions regarding that subject. On Day 2, we will also be welcoming our Robotics mentor and engineer to give a quick introduction to engineering which will foreshadow our next day’s activity.

dAY 3: ENGINEERING

Day 3 is a day we are really looking forward to hosting. Every member of our robotics team wishes they were exposed to CAD earlier, so we are driven to explaining the importance of CAD. We are going to be using TinkerCAD to give some basic information on the uses of CAD and give students the opportunity to create a design that we will print on our school 3-D printers for them.
